Monday my host mom didn't want to leave the house because there was a typhoon. The entire day it was raining very hard and the wind was strong. Most of the morning my host sister had to do homework, so I got to relax and read for a bit and take a nap. For lunch we made a meal similar to what I had last week for lunch with the batter and cabbage and meat. It was very good and might be my favorite food here. After that I played Mario kart for a while and they were very impressed with how good I was. We then made key chains and they gave me a four leaf clover they picked in their yard for me to use in mine. It was a lot of fun. After that I got to help with homework for a bit and teach math! I got to read some more and then I helped make dinner. We had to put meat in these little tortilla like shells and fold them in a certain way to keep the meat inside. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It tasted very good though. After dinner we played cards for a while and then my host sister went to bed because she had to get up early the next morning. This last week is going by very fast.

Sunday was a very nice day because I got to sleep in and relax during the morning. I found out the girl staying with us is actually my host sisters 2nd cousin. She called her mom and she is now staying until Friday so I am excited!! For breakfast I tried this pizza toast that my host mom makes and it was actually pretty good. After that we took the train to Nagoya to go shopping. It was my first time on a train in Japan and it was cool to see how many people ride them here. When we got to the mall it was huge. There were eight floors, but it is different than our type of mall. There aren't as many shops on each floor. I didn't buy anything because a lot of the shops were very expensive clothing stores, but I loved looking and after we went to this bread shop where I got a croissant that had ham and cheese in it and it was really good. We took the train home and my host mom told me to relax for a while until dinner. For dinner we went out to this small restaurant. They sold a bunch of different meats on skewers. They got a bunch of different kinds and had me try everything. Most of it was very good! I did have to try beef tongue though and that was very interesting. It was really chewy and the texture was weird. They got me ice cream after though so overall it was a good meal. After dinner we played with sparklers for a long time and got a lot of mosquito bites but it was fun!
