On Wednesday I ate a lot of food!! The first thing we did was go to a store to look around. I didn't buy anything but it was a cool little shop that sold a bunch of office supplies. We then went to a cake store for lunch. I got chocolate mousse and it was so good! My host mom and sister love sweets so we get along very well!! We then went to calligraphy class. I loved it so much. The teacher knew English so we got to talk a lot. I practiced for a while, but then my arm started to hurt so I stopped and watched for the rest of the time. The teacher wrote "love" in calligraphy on a frame for me as a gift. It was so cool to watch him draw it. After that we went home and relaxed for a while before dinner. For dinner my family took me to a ramen restaurant and it was so good! I will definitely be eating ramen when I go back home! I also got fried rice so that was delicious too! Then we went to the spa. The water was very warm, but it was very relaxing and different than an American spa. Afterwards we went to Baskin Robbins and got ice cream to cool off. It was a very fun day full of activities!

On Tuesday I got to meet a bunch of Japanese teens! I spent the day with John and Justin and it was a lot of fun. The first thing we did was go to this room and play some ice breaker games to get to know the teens. We got to tell each other about ourselves and learn about their lives. They wanted to know all about the process of applying to colleges and I learned that they all have to wear uniforms to school. We all ate lunch together and then went to the Toyota museum in Nagoya. Once we got to Nagoya the teens all kind of grouped up so we didn't get to talk to them much once we got there. I learned all about cotton and how it is made into the seat cushions in cars. On the bus ride back, they made Justin, John and I sing popular songs. We had a lot of fun with that singing into the microphone. We dropped the teens off and took lots of pictures with them! Then Jusin, John and I went to go sing Karaoke. On the way we stopped at McDonalds and got a snack. Karaoke was so much fun and I wish Midland had a place like it. You rent out a room and get to sing anything you want. The last song we got to sing was The Star Spangled Banner. After that I went back home and had dinner with my host family.
